ATHAR
ATHAR is a non-profitable student project founded by 7 senior students of Al Alsun Department, Faculty of Al Alsun and Mass Communication at Misr International University (MIU) who aim to help the community and eradicate poverty in Egypt. We also aim to help achieve Egypt's 2030 vision to reach an unemployment rate of 5%.

The poverty line in Egypt is defined at less than EGP 857/month.

Egypt’s poverty rate declined to 29.7 percent in FY 2019/2020, down from 32.5 percent two years earlier.

Households' net annual income average increased to EGP 69,100 in FY 2019/20, up from EGP 60,400 in FY 2017/18, recording an increase of 15 percent.
